Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an innovative clinical treatment, which has successfully helped over one million people who have experienced psychological difficulties which originate from some kind of traumatic experience, such as sexual abuse, childhood neglect, road traffic accidents and violence and it was created by DR Francine Shapiro, a Psychologist and Senior Research Fellow at the Mental Research Institute in Palo Alto, USA.

The European EMDR Conference is organized in co-operation with UNITAR, the United Nations Institute for Training and Research. UNITAR has the important role of conducting research and training for UN agencies in the fields of environment, peace, security, diplomacy and governance.

The Conference which will be held in CICG, will gather speakers from different parts of the world and from different organizations who will present their diverse work. Some will address specific EMDR Projects, while others will speak to the spirit of EMDR: Healing, Service to people and Communities, Innovation and deeper understanding of humanity.

ICV participates on this Conference by providing an interpretation in 4 languages, French, Italian, Spanish and German, as well as a team for welcoming services.
